What's for Dinner: 4th of July edition

Happy 4th (almost)!

I thought I would do something fun for our "What's for dinner?" series, and also do it a day early in case you want to implement any of these ideas into your day!

I compiled some great recipes that will help you stay on track this holiday! Or, if you are going to a cookout or get together, at least you know you can bring something healthy to share and partake in so you don't wreck all your hard work!

Snacks and Sides

I personally think making your food fun and themed for a holiday get together is great! Fresh fruits and vegetables are great this time of year because produce is so readily available! Your farmer's market is constantly offering fresh choices! Taking something simple and presenting it creatively makes a great addition to a get together!
Simple bananas and strawberries with blueberries!

This one uses pineapple.

Fruit and cheese tray mix.

Love the bell peppers as serving "dishes" for the dip!

Serve with organic tortilla chips

Main Course

To me nothing says BBQ like a great burger! Here are some choices for all dietary needs!

Dessert
Everyone loves to indulge a little on the holidays. But indulge and gorge are not the same! So choose wisely!

Hope these yummy ideas give you some inspiration this 4th! I hope you have a blessed holiday with friends and family!!

  1. I'm totally guilty of "gorging" on holidays :) Those fruit kabobs look so good and refreshing! Hope you guys had an amazing holiday!
